Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Atlantic, Iowa for an experienced Med/Surg and Obstetrics RN. Join a welcoming southwest Iowa hospital team and provide compassionate, hands-on care in labor & delivery, postpartum, recovery, and Med/Surg settings.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg / Obstetrics
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Inpatient hospital unit with OB and Med/Surg floating needs
• Location: Atlantic, Iowa
• Start Date: August 17, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, every third weekend
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 - $2,720
• Schedule Notes: No call required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred
• Experience in Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Recovery, or Med/Surg preferred
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg when OB patient volume allows

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery
• Monitor patient status, assess needs, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and provider orders
• Support safe, patient-centered care throughout the birth and recovery experience
• Float to the Med/Surg unit when obstetric patients are not present
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the care team to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality and safety standards
