• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Float: As needed to surgical, neuro, and intermediate care areas
• Unit Size: 18 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• EHR: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Cerner experience required
• Strong IV therapy and IV competency skills
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Manage patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, sepsis, infection, weakness, and falls
• Monitor patient status closely and respond to changes in condition using sound clinical judgment
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective outcomes
• Float to surgical, neuro, and intermediate care units as needed
• Serve as a compassionate patient advocate while maintaining a strong pace on a busy floor
