As an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based obstetric nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and women’s health settings. This travel nursing job is ideal for a strong RN who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment and is confident supporting patients through fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, and newborn stabilization.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact nursing license eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification required
• NCC-EFM certification preferred
• Recent OB, ED, or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Comfort with fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and maternal/newborn stabilization

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and newborn care settings
• Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Support electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and care of the mother/fetal dyad
• Assist with resuscitation and stabilization of mothers and newborns when needed
• Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU, and other care team members to deliver coordinated patient care
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and high standards of professional nursing practice
