Assignment Details Care Management RNSchedule: 5x8 Days 8am-430pm, weekdays, some weekends, holidays, no overtime without supervisor approval Longer assignments through January 9, 2027, are available but not required!! Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays. Minimum Requirements Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptionsMust be proficient in Epic; no exceptions Important Candidate Requirements Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered: Recent experience in an adult acute care hospital setting with discharge planning Minimum 5 years of recent acute care Case Management experience (hospital setting) Less than a 6-month gap since their last acute care Case Management role Experience in a Level I, II, or III acute care hospital Previous patient census of approximately 15 25 patients Rated 4/5 or 5/5 across all Case Management functions, including knowledge of CMS regulations Epic proficiency is required (no exceptions) Previous travel experience strongly preferred. First-time travelers will only be considered if they have extensive acute care Case Management experience. Acute care discharge planning Utilization Review (UR) experience required Ability to effectively manage a high-volume, fast-paced patient population Required Certifications BLS through the American Heart AssociationPreferred Certifications CCM (Certified Case Manager)ACM (Accredited Case Manager) Compliance Requirements Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. P/F Testing : EKG Testing Required for: ED, Step Down, ICU, All MS/Tele (2S, 2E/2W, 4W, 5E/5W, 6E/6S), ENDO, PACU, Surgical Admitting Unit, Cath Lab Tech Not required for: Pharmacy, Home Health, L D, Case Management, BH/Psych ER, CV Holding 1 attempt give, no remediation available. Will cancel if failed, must have 80% or higher to pass The test is inclusive of interval measurements, complex identification, and rhythm identification. If traveler is unable to obtain an 80% rate, they will not be allowed to continue with orientation or their contract, so please take time to review this information prior to start date. They do not offer study materials. The tele test consists of 16 questions. The first 10 questions will ask you to determine regular vs. irregular, rate, PRI, QRS, and rhythm interpretation. The last 6 questions are interpretation only. The test covers sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing. Rhythm interpretation is worth 3-4 points and the measurements are worth 1 point.
