Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or night shift available; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; no on-call required

• 40-bed cardiovascular progressive care stepdown unit specializing in CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Complex case mix including open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, vascular interventions, and medical cardiology overflow
• Cerner EMR system with advanced cardiac equipment including Baxter IV pumps and cardiac drip management

• Regional referral center with Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and the region's only children's hospital
• Sign-on or relocation bonus available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Progressive care stepdown experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery population experience strongly preferred (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass)
• CVICU experience preferred
• Experience with epidural management, chest tube management, tube feedings, IV management, and cardiac drip protocols preferred
