Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: Flexible – May 11, May 18, or June 1, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time with on-call requirements: 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks, 1 weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), and holidays as operationally needed. 32-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Work in a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized pediatric surgical center specializing in trauma and complex pediatric cases
• Experience with diverse pediatric OR cases including ambulatory surgery, pediatric trauma, ENT, orthopedic, and general surgery procedures
• Epic EMR charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support from pharmacy and respiratory services
• Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• 13-week travel assignment with opportunity for up to 2 weeks pre-approved time off
• Part of a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center providing advanced care to patients throughout the region

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or current Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in pediatric OR within the last 3 years (required)
• Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required; PALS preferred
• Experience with Trauma Level I and Level II facilities required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures and equipment
• Must pass pre-start telemetry exam with strict passing criteria (80% minimum, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
