Description
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Location: New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 64-bed unit
Highlights:
- Specialized stroke stepdown unit serving adult patients with stroke, altered mental status, COPD, CHF, renal/dialysis, and general medical-surgical conditions
- Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- EPIC EMR system in use
- Floating to other units may be required
- Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
- Travel nursing experience required for this assignment
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum 2+ years of medical-surgical experience with stroke stepdown expertise
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- NIHSS certification (NIH Stroke Scale required; can be obtained prior to start date)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
