Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Utica, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, block scheduling as available
Highlights:
- 64-bed medical-surgical stroke stepdown unit caring for adult patients
- Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis, COPD, CHF, and general medical-surgical conditions
- Experience with specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- EPIC EMR system in use
- 13-week contract with floating to other units as needed
- Navy blue scrubs required
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license (multi-state verification required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing with stroke stepdown experience
- Recent travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certification (NIHSS can be obtained prior to start)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
