Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Utica, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 64-bed unit
Highlights:
- Specialized stroke stepdown unit with diverse medical-surgical patient population
- Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and general medical-surgical conditions
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Adult patient demographics with opportunities for skill development across multiple specialties
- Equipment experience includes IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- Floating to other units as needed to support patient care
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience with stroke stepdown
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (can be obtained prior to start date)
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
