Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour evening/night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required

Highlights:

• Mixed unit caring for both Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU and general PICU patients in a 21-bed state-of-the-art facility
• Comprehensive case mix including cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, critical neurological disorders, respiratory diseases, Level 1 trauma, and ECMO
• 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios with 36 hours of orientation provided
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Access to robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 13-week contract with potential to float to NICU and general care units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute Pediatric ICU experience in a high-acuity hospital setting within the last 3 years
• At least 1 year of Cardiovascular ICU or cardiac step-down experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications required
• Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria (80% or higher)
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if meeting experience requirements
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
