Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 0700-1730, Monday through Friday with weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities. On-call coverage includes one weekend every 6-8 weeks, one weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), and holiday coverage as operationally needed.

Highlights:

• Pediatric operating room position with diverse case mix including general surgery, trauma, transplant, and ambulatory procedures
• Kidney transplant experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience essential
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Magnet-designated pediatric facility with comprehensive specialty services
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute pediatric OR experience within the last 3 years
• Pediatric operating room, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
• Kidney transplant experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• PALS certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria (80% or higher, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Floating to other units as needed is required
