Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; Patient ratios 1:3-4 (step down), 1:4-6 (medical-surgical); 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period (Saturday or Sunday)

Highlights:

• Combined 39-bed unit with 23 step-down and 16 medical-surgical beds
• Manage a diverse case mix including tracheostomy care, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and wound care
• Cerner EMR system used throughout facility
• Collaborative team structure with charge nurse, multiple RNs, and dedicated patient care technicians on each shift
• Float opportunities to other medical-surgical and progressive care units for variety and professional growth
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Tracheostomy care experience is mandatory
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Previous experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred
