Job Opportunity – Medical ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support rotation. No on-call requirements.

Highlights:

  • 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with 2:1 ICU and 4-5:1 PCU patient ratios
  • Work with advanced critical care equipment including ventilators, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), lift equipment, and IV pumps
  • Cerner documentation system for streamlined charting
  • Charge nurse support out of staffing; staff RN coverage includes 1 charge and 5 staff RNs per shift
  • Opportunity for relief charge nurses to perform nurse leader rounding
  • Floating may be required to support hospital needs

Requirements:

  • Current RN license
  • Medical ICU experience in a large facility setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Competency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
  • Advanced critical care skills including IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, central line management, and critical care pharmacology
  • Experience assisting with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertions and intubations
  • Navy blue or white scrubs required
