Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical / Step-Down RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am), Monday through Friday with every other weekend required. Day and night shifts available.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit providing general pediatric medical care through intermediate step-down level services
• Diverse patient population including neurology, diabetic, nephrology, spinal fusion, and respiratory patients
• Experience with pulmonary diagnoses, respiratory failure, tracheostomy, ventilator dependence, CPAP, and BiPAP management
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Patient ratio of 1:3 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Medical-Surgical acute care experience required
• BLS and PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Successful completion of telemetry competency exam prior to start date (strict passing criteria applies)
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, administration of blood products, central line management, insulin administration, and ventilator management
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Floating to other units as needed is required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
