• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), telemetry, or similar acute care experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and telemetry monitoring skills (telemetry nurse experience preferred)
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced acute care and progressive care settings
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and hemodynamic status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments per hospital protocols
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate appropriately within the interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and patient education to ensure safe transitions of care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and clinical notes in the electronic medical record
