• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 2:30pm – 11:00pm, Monday–Friday (No call required)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Requirements (Surgical Technologist / OR Tech)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist / Operating Room (OR) Tech in a hospital or perioperative setting
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Technologist certification preferred
• Current competencies and required certifications maintained (BLS recommended)
• Completion of age-specific training and departmental orientation for pediatric/adult populations
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, AORN best practices, and patient safety protocols

Responsibilities — Operating Room / Perioperative

• Assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures under RN direction as a perioperative technologist
• Prepare and maintain sterile field; set up instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for a variety of surgical cases
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts accurately to ensure correct site procedures
• Ensure equipment readiness, conduct fire safety checks, and follow sterile processing protocols
• Safely pass instruments and sharps to and from the surgeon, minimizing risk of injury or exposure
• Implement age-specific care, maintain a safe environment, and help reduce medical errors
• Clean and sanitize operating rooms per hospital policy and infection control standards
