Description
Subspecialty Practice Nurse III
Job Summary:
Practices at the level of a competent to proficient practitioner of nursing, demonstrating expertise in caring for patients with complex problems while adhering to administrative policies and clinical protocols. Exhibits clinical leadership by contributing to standards of care and division goals, serving as a role model for staff, and acting as a preceptor for new employees. Utilizes the Nursing Process to deliver safe care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with families, team members, and other caregivers to coordinate all facets of patient care. Manages care for complex patients, anticipates needs, and delegates tasks as necessary. Ensures documentation reflects outcomes and revisions in patient care, adhering to hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• Three (3) years of pediatric experience.
• Basic use of patient-facing technology such as IV pumps, point-of-care devices, and CR monitors.
• Computer competency, including basic use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype), web browsing, intranet search, and shared network file space.
• Navigation and use of clinical communication systems.
Required Education:
• Nursing diploma.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Registered Nursing License or active Temporary Practice Permit in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or State of New Jersey.
• BLS Certification issued through an organization requiring hands-on instructor-led psychomotor skills verification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Active membership in a professional nursing organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN.
