Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday) required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between units of similar or lower acuity, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and all holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, observation floor)
• Floating between two campuses is possible - campuses are 9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes by interstate
• Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Navy scrubs required across all units
• PCTs available - 1 per every 16 patients on Tele units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night
• No vents on Tele or MedSurg units
• Charting system: Cerner
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Active state license required

This acute care, Level 1 Trauma facility operates across two campuses and provides a comprehensive range of inpatient services including cardiovascular telemetry, neurology, medical-surgical, orthopedic, oncology, and surgical care. The facility features multiple specialized units including a CV Tele unit, Neuro unit, and MedSurg units with dedicated charge nurses and clinical supervisors on each floor. The organization maintains robust support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy, a Cath Lab, and a JCAHO-certified orthopedic knee and hip program.
