CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Travel Assignment

Location: Santa Cruz, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening, Night
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Description

Seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role involves performing CT scans and X-Ray procedures, including virtual colonography and gated procedures as needed. Evening shifts are the busiest, with occasional night shifts. Radiologist coverage is not 24/7; night shifts utilize remote radiology support.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT/X-Ray technologist experience
• Active California state license for Radiologic Technologist
• BLS Certification
• Certified CT Technologist (ARRT-CT)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
• Fluoroscopy certification

Work Environment & Additional Details

• Facility uses Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed scanners
• Typical workload: 10-20 scans per shift
• EMR systems: Cerner and McKesson PACS
• Orientation: 3-4 shifts floor-specific
• Floating within Radiology department
• Holiday hours follow weekend schedule
• Scrub color: Teal
• Patient types: ER patients and general CT cases

• Must have both CT and X-Ray experience along with required certifications and license
• Evening shifts are busiest; occasional night shifts may be required
