Job Summary
- Hospital-based registered nurse role providing care for patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex.
- Assigned to a group of patients and responsible for monitoring, documenting responses to treatment, administering medications, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- CVICU (1 year of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Proficiency with Impella
- Proficiency with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Proficiency with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- Experience with post-open-heart day 2 care
- Proficiency with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Required Experience / Skills
- Experience with Impella, balloon pump, heart recovery
- Proficiency in Impella, IABP, CRRT, post open heart day 2 care, and ECMO
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
