Registered Nurse
Location
- Chandler, Arizona
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Days, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- First to float; may float to a sister facility
Unit / Patient Population
- Cardiopulmonary telemetry and neuro unit
- Common patient types include neuro overflow, CVAs, trauma, general surgery, pulmonary, and general telemetry
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license for Arizona or compact state
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to interpret EKGs
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before start, with up to 2 attempts
- Must pass a simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
- COVID-19 vaccination is required, or a religious/medical declination with supporting documentation
Unit Details
- 26 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-4
- Charge nurse has no patient assignment
- Centralized telemetry
- Airvo/high-flow vents
- Hospitalist rounds during the day and is on call at night
- No IV team
- RT and pharmacy are available 24/7
- Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
