Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location

Asheville, North Carolina

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Specialty: Renal Medicine, Peritoneal Dialysis
Unit size: 18 beds
Staff on day shift: 7 (1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC, 1 CNA)
Staff on night shift: 6 (1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 HUC/CNA)
Patient-to-RN ratio: 1:4 to 1:6
Patient-to-CNA ratio: 1:9 to 1:18
Equipment used: Mobilization and lift equipment, peritoneal dialysis cyclers, scales
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Telemetry experience (minimum 2 years), including experience within the last year
Peritoneal dialysis experience
Dialysis experience
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PCT
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

BSN degree
Certified peritoneal dialysis nurse
Experience with Cerner EMR

Work Schedule

Approximately 36 hours per week
Weekend and holiday rotations required
On-call duties may be required

Additional Information

Must be flexible, comfortable with change, compassionate, and timely
May float to similar units or be utilized as a sitter if needed
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
