Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The technologist will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately capture and produce diagnostic images.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and ensure high-quality images are produced.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of technical protocols and equipment operation.
- Provide quality patient care by ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to discuss imaging results.
- Maintain required certifications and licenses in accordance with state and federal laws.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- BLS certification required.
- One year of radiologic/imaging experience preferred.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Active New York license required at time of submission.
