CT Technologist - Night Shift, On Call

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10.0 - Monday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST; on call, callback, holidays as needed.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services. This includes confirming patient identity and exam verification, preparing patients for scans, and explaining procedures to ensure patient comfort. Technologists will also insert IVs as necessary, position patients safely, and maintain accurate records within the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide necessary diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare and reassure patients by explaining procedures.
• Insert IVs when required for testing.
• Position patients correctly, ensuring safe handling of those with limited mobility.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper handling of imaging systems.
• Keep the scanning facility clean and safe.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting position).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Philips and Siemens CT equipment is preferred.
