Job Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 19-week contract, specifically to provide holiday coverage. The role requires direct care for a variety of patient types, including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, and more. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and administering medication drips, among other critical care responsibilities. EPIC is used for electronic medical records.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, and DM.
- Administer blood products and monitor patients with post-cath procedures.
- Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of nurse experience with prior travel assignment completion.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Preferred experience with Art line, Impella, and/or IABP.
