Description
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process throughout various areas of the unit. This role includes providing comprehensive emergency care in a dedicated emergency center, complete with a separate Chest Pain Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of patients during admissions and throughout their stay.
- Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood as required.
- Provide patient education on relevant health topics.
- Document nursing care actions, patient observations, and responses accordingly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience is required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
- Candidates with any hits or actions on their license or background will not be accepted.
- Must be willing and able to assume charge nurse and preceptor roles when necessary.
- Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Additional Information
Please note that orientation hours may be unpaid, and the organization reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within a 13-week contract duration.
