Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This position reports to appropriately review patient histories and physician's orders, while educating patients about procedures and imaging exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.

Responsibilities:

• Review patient information and ensure proper positioning during imaging procedures.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results efficiently.
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor patient conditions continually and respond to changes appropriately.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies in the clinical nuclear medicine area.

Requirements:

• CT certification and experience with PET/CT imaging.
• ARRT CT certification or certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current New York State License.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of GE PET or Philips PET Scanners is a plus.

This position operates Monday through Friday with varying shifts, ensuring a work-life balance by not requiring weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
