Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of expertise in various surgical specialties, including joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular. This is a vital role aimed at delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate procedures and promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various surgical techniques and technologies.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in patient education and support preoperative and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular procedures.
• A broad knowledge of surgical practices and experience in multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Current nursing license in the state of North Carolina.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a busy operating room setting, with a patient care ratio of 1:1. Responsibilities may include floating to different departments as necessary, and a variable schedule with on-call duties is required.
