Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the MS/Telemetry department is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by employing the Nursing Process, adhering to the state Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures. This role requires the demonstration of critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with the Nursing Process.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment for patient care decisions.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities appropriately based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Familiarity with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position requires night shift availability of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Additionally, the RN will be expected to cover 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Additional Information

This is a float pool position, requiring the Registered Nurse to be adaptable and willing to float between departments and multiple locations within the region.

Patient Care Ratio

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1.
