Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) for a travel position. This role requires flexibility, as the nurse will float between multiple departments and facilities within the region.

Job Details

• Start Date: Late September, early October
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift - 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3/12 hour shifts)
• Weekend Shifts: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Facilities: Multiple locations, including Northwest Medical Center and other regional facilities

Qualifications

• Valid AZ Registered Nurse License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred

Responsibilities

The MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care using the Nursing Process, in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient care planning and delivery.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegating patient care priorities in accordance with the education and experience of available staff.
• Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.

Patient Care Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1.
