Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a 15-week contract to provide holiday coverage. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for candidates who have completed at least one travel assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (A-fib RVR), diabetes mellitus (DM), and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA).
• Administer blood products and monitor patients on Bipap or post-cath procedures involving femoral access.
• Manage and care for surgical patients, including those undergoing vascular, abdominal, and gastrointestinal procedures.
• Perform and oversee procedures related to chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and monitoring of femoral arterial sheaths.
• Utilize drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitroglycerin, and heparin as necessary.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with arterial lines, Impella devices, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) is preferred.
• Ability to float between Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units as required.

Certifications Required

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
