CT Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will perform computed tomography scans, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Shift Information

This position is for Day Shifts, with a scheduled length of 10 hours. Required call is part of the role, and a 30-minute response time is expected for call duties.

Unit Details

• Unit: Radiology
• Equipment: Includes 1 Siemens 64 slice CT, 1 Siemens 128 slice CT, 1 Radiology Fluoroscopy unit, 1 Radiography unit, 3 Portables, and 4 C-Arms.
• Procedures: Perform approximately 80 procedures per day between X-ray and CT.
• Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
• Orientation: 3-day floor-specific orientation
• Transport: Patient transportation is available as a resource within the department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Verification
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Verification
  • Fluoroscopy Certification
• Experience with Siemens, Carestream, GE, and Philips equipment preferred, but training will be provided if necessary.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with colleagues are essential.

Work Environment

The unit has in-house radiologists available seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with teleradiologist support during off hours. Team collaboration is encouraged to promote a positive experience for patients and staff.

Scrub Color

Teal scrubs are required, and travelers must provide their own radiation badge.

Common Diagnoses

Utilize Siemens Sensation 64 CTs, Siemens Edge 128, Carestream and GE portables, OEC C-arms, and Philips Rad and R/F systems.
