Job Description

• Start date must be in February; once compliant, start date changes will not be approved.
• Must comply with facility's Influenza Vaccination Policy:

  • Influenza vaccination required unless approved medical or religious exemption.
  • If exempt, must wear a mask or N95 respirator during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31).
• Facility provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain/spinal cord injuries, amputations, trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
• Rehab hospital features:

  • Brain injury unit with monitored rooms and specialized equipment.
  • Dedicated stroke care unit.
  • Gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices.
  • Special apartment for practicing daily living tasks.

Position Details

• Shift: 6:30 AM – PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: Float within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
• Patient Ratios: Approx. 1:6-7 during day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
• Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
• EHR System: Epic

Requirements

• Licensure: RN licensed in Missouri
• Certifications: BLS (CPR) Certification required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Rehab/Med-Surg)
• Preferred: Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
• Personality Fit: Flexible, collaborative, positive demeanor
