Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have a Pennsylvania nursing license at time of submission.
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Required experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty.
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for all types of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) cases.
• Potential to float to general Operating Room and cardiac cases at a nearby facility.
• On-call requirement: 1-2 days per week, including 1 weekend per month.
• Holiday on-call required when applicable.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Charting system used: Cerner (Surginet).
• Scrubs provided.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience working with Level I Trauma patients.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in CVOR.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete background checks including 7-year criminal history and education verification.
• Physical exam within 2 months of start.
• Fit mask test (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start.
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer.
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT) within 90 days of start.
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
• COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; exemptions require mask use at work.
• Professional references (2) within 2 years.
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• Pennsylvania child abuse search and fingerprinting required within 12 months prior to start.

Notes

• Candidate must be able to scrub and circulate for all CVOR cases.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• On-call and holiday on-call duties are part of the role.
• Modules and orientation requirements must be completed prior to start.
• Scrubs are provided for the assignment.

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR Registered Nurses with trauma experience seeking a travel contract in Pennsylvania.
