Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab RN

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-Call: 7 on-call nights per month (including one weekend Fri-Sun and 4 additional nights)
• Unit: Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with 2 rooms
• Procedures: PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implant, ablations, etc.
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR System: EPIC - Cupid
• Floating: Not required
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Call Room: Brand new on-site call room

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 4+ years of experience as an RN in Cath/EP Lab
• Experience with interventional cardiac procedures and scrub skills

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Active Massachusetts RN license (MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted)
• AHA ACLS Certification (ONLY AHA accepted)
• BLS Certification (ONLY AHA accepted)

Required Health & Compliance

• Documentation of MMR immunity or vaccination
• TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
• Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no exemptions allowed)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Skills checklist and medication exam with minimum 80% passing score within 1 year

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 4 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Electrophysiology Lab experience
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Submission Requirements

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor-level)
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year
• Candidate submission coversheet
• License/certificate primary source verification within 30 days of start date

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
