Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation

Facility & Unit Overview
- 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Patient population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit with high acuity patients
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
- Equipment includes mobility aids (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards), vital sign machines, EKG, blood glucose monitors, and EPIC electronic health record system
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Call requirements apply
- Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break plus two paid 15-minute breaks per 12-hour shift
- Staff must adhere to attendance and tardy policies
- No overtime without supervisor approval
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with rehabilitation experience within the last year
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Experience in a 24/7 skilled care environment preferred
Job Responsibilities & Notes
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in an inpatient rehab setting
- Assist with patient safety by supporting CNAs and responding to call lights
- May be required to float to a nearby satellite inpatient rehab facility within 20 minutes in the future
- Must complete the full 13-week contract with satisfactory attendance to qualify for completion bonuses
