Job Opportunity: Level 2B RN - 36hrs. Nights and EOW

Unit Description
- Level 2B Special Care Nursery
- 25-bed unit including Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 Operating Rooms (ORs), 2 Antepartum Nursery (ANU) rooms, and Recovery Room (RR)
- Average daily census: 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
- EMR system: EPIC
Patient Population
- Mothers and newborns in special care nursery and labor/delivery/postpartum settings
Shift Details
- 36 hours per week
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
- Rotating day shifts (7 AM-7 PM, 11 AM-11 PM, 7 PM-7 AM) with 1 night of call; evening and night shifts do not rotate
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios
- L&D: 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural
- PP: 1:3-4
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Nursery experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
