Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehab

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Work collaboratively with therapists, physicians, specialists, and family members to improve patients’ functional ability and quality of life.

Work Environment

• Facility with 81 private rooms
• Patient population: Adults (18+ years)
• Units include Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury
• Patient ratios approximately 1:6-7 during the day and 1:8 at night
• Each nurse is supported by a dedicated technician
• Electronic Health Record system: Epic
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Float within 5 hospital units

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (CPR) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential preferred
• Flexible, collaborative, and positive demeanor

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Black scrubs required
• Must wear agency-provided ID badge
• Report to Charge Nurse upon arrival
• Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)

• Emphasis on improving movement patterns, strength, flexibility, functional ability, balance, and muscle tone
• Comprehensive treatment addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs
• Access to specialized equipment and therapy spaces including monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices, and a healing garden
