Labor and Delivery RN (Traveler) - California, Lynwood

Job Summary

• Provide safe, direct patient care in Labor and Delivery using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Care for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Completion of DCI/BVP training.
• Successful completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Successful completion of Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score).
• Prime Skills Checklist completion.
• Successful completion of Prime Color-blind test.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

• Color-blind test required (Relias accepted).
• DCI/BVP training required (can be completed via Relias or similar).
• Name verification affidavit may be required for any name discrepancies.
• Badge photo may be requested for onboarding (JPEG, clear headshot).
• Orientation packet includes "Essentials" form and post-test.
