CT Technologist Position - Akron, Ohio

Job Summary

  • Operate Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision.
  • Evaluate images with Radiologist and take additional images as needed.
  • Assist with invasive procedures as required.
  • Ensure timely processing of patient records and procedure results.
  • Perform other radiology duties as training and skills allow.

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting.

Physical Demands

  • Heavy physical demands: exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds continuously to move objects.

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

  • Valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Recent license/certification verification (within 30 days prior to start).
  • Submission of 3 years prior work history including at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area.
  • Completion of unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist, updated annually.
  • Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days of start; updated annually.
  • Fit test for N95 respirators (3M 1870+ N95, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small), updated annually.
  • Pre-employment physical within one year confirming ability to safely perform essential job functions.
  • Immunization and health requirements:
    • MMR: titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted.
    • Hepatitis B: titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted.
    • Varicella: titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted.
    • 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results; no declinations accepted.
    • Annual TB questionnaire.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide, OFAC, FACIS Level 3), run within 90 days prior to start.
  • OIG, EPLS, and education verifications completed within 90 days prior to start.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required for all travelers prior to start; medical or religious exemptions considered case-by-case.
  • Influenza vaccine required October-April; medical or religious exemptions require agency approval.

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
  • All certifications and verifications must be current and repeated if there is a break in service of 30 days or more.
