Description
Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide care for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including transplant recipients of these organs.
- Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders.
- Work in a med-surg/telemetry overflow unit.
- Floating to other units as needed.
Shift Details
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Total hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Transplant experience with liver, kidney, and pancreas patients
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including:
- Job description acknowledgment
- Standards of business conduct
- Vendor training and code of conduct (updated for 2024 and 2025 contracts)
- TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider
- Respiratory safety clearance (renewed annually)
- Onsite EKG exam required after start for ICU and Med-Surg/Telemetry RNs at this location
- Candidates with religious or medical exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and obtain approval
- Pending background check attestation is not accepted; full clearance required before start
