Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location
- Saint Louis, Missouri

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for the entire orientation week is required
Unit Information
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit (7E Tele)
- Patient population: approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry adult patients
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: approximately 4-6:1
- Equipment: standard nursing equipment for telemetry unit
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adult patients
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and comfort
- Practice within the scope of nursing and according to Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
- Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Valid Driver's License

Additional Information
- Flu vaccination is mandatory for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Dress code: black scrubs
- Up to 5 days of requested time off per 13-week assignment can be automatically approved; additional time off requires leader approval and may need to be made up
- All offers are subject to final manager approval after interview within 24 hours of offer
