Registered Nurse (Home Health RN) - Travel Assignment

Location

Red Bluff, California

Job Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
Flexible weekend scheduling: either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (preference for Tuesday-Saturday)
Holiday coverage needed (Thanksgiving and/or Christmas)
No call or standby requirement

Patient Population & Workload

No pediatric patients
Patients recently discharged from hospital, high risk for rehospitalization
Common diagnoses: CHF, COPD, wounds (including some wound vacs), IV-PICC lines
Approximately 5 patient visits per day, including start of care, recertifications, resumption of care, and routine visits

Job Duties

Patient education related to respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP)
Utilization review involvement not specified
Floating only within Home Health
Home health aide support available

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
Minimum 2 years of Home Health RN experience
BLS certification
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) preferred

Dress Code

Any work-appropriate scrubs

Supervision

Manager available during working hours and after hours for urgent needs
Administrator on call after hours and weekends
