Radiology Interventional Technologist

Location

• Detroit, Michigan

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• Includes a call schedule

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT registration with an advanced registry in one of the following:

  • Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
  • Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• IR vascular experience
• Experience with Epic

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for invasive radiology procedures and explain the exam
• Assist the radiologist during complex diagnostic invasive procedures
• Prepare contrast media, medications, IV solutions, sterile equipment, monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
• Assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and apply radiation protection principles
• Manage PACS and RIS workflow, including image exceptions and study indexing
• Document in the medical record and radiology information system
• Support quality assurance activities
