Registered Nurse
Location

Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Previous travel experience
- Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit
- Experience with heparin titrated drips
Job Details
- Neuro Med-Surg Acute unit
- 54 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
- Charge nurse and house supervisor are on duty 24/7
- Telemetry is monitored house-wide; nurses do not need to read strips
- Floating is required in rotation with the rest of the staff
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No call or standby requirement
Submission Requirements
- Last four digits of SSN
- Middle initial
- Requested time off
- Negative drug screen required
Orientation
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- 2 days of unit-specific orientation with an educator and preceptor
Additional Notes
- Local placements are accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Tattoos must be covered while on duty
- Piercings are limited to ears only
