Description
Nurse Manager, Emergency Department
Location
Brooklyn, New York
Schedule
- Evening shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Exempt position; no overtime
Contract Length
- 14 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Master of Science in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience in Manager roles
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Experience with Epic
Responsibilities
- Oversees 24-hour patient care operations in the Emergency Department
- Leads staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and staff development
- Monitors operational performance, quality improvement, customer satisfaction, and patient/staff concerns
- Collaborates with nursing leadership to establish care standards and support a respectful, team-based environment
- Manages staff education, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and termination as needed
