Travel Registered Nurse — Maternal Child
Location
- Long Beach, California
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour nights
- Every other weekend
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- 2 full years of experience
- Ability to circulate C-sections

- Labor & delivery / postpartum unit
- Floating to postpartum
- Potential telemetry monitoring on mothers
- Cerner familiarity is listed in the source
- First to float
Patient Population / Unit Notes
- Standard labor, multiples, high-risk pregnancies, vacuum deliveries, and VBACs
- 8 labor & delivery beds with 6 overflow beds
- 7 triage beds
- 40 postpartum beds
- Approximately 1,800–2,000 births per year
Additional Notes
- Charge nurse may take a patient assignment
- No call required
- Holidays rotate with core staff
- Scrubs are provided for labor & delivery; navy for mother/baby and postpartum
- 1–2 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor
