CVOR Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Operating room cardiac surgery

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
CVOR (3 years of experience)
CVOR experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery
Experience with CABGs (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts)
Experience with aortic and mitral valve repairs and replacements
Experience with heart transplants
Experience with cardiac dissections
Experience with LVADs (Left Ventricular Assist Devices)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with vascular/thoracic surgery such as EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA

Schedule & Work Expectations

On-call required: 5 call shifts per month
Weekend requirement: on call
No holiday requirement
May float to other OR services such as General, Urology, or ENT when cardiac volume is down

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
Scrubs are provided
Epic is used for charting
