Description

Registered Nurse

Location

  • Bemidji, Minnesota

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday
  • Day/night rotation

Required Qualifications

  • Active Minnesota RN license
  • BLS certification through AHA
  • 2 years of medical-surgical experience
  • Experience with EPIC
  • Agency must have Minnesota SNSA license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with orthopedic patients

Clinical Setting

  • Medical-surgical unit with medical, surgical, orthopedic, and occasional behavioral health patients

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment
  • Care planning
  • Patient education
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care
  • Communication with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Chest tube management
  • Trach care
  • Assistance with paracentesis or thoracentesis
  • Care of behavioral health patients with a medical emergency
  • Admission and discharge support
  • Telemetry patient monitoring

Unit Details

  • 41 beds
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 on days, 5-6:1 on nights

Floating

  • May float to Telemetry, Observation, Acute Rehab, Post-Partum, OB, CCU, or ICU as needed

Additional Notes

  • Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local rate
  • Interview times should be included in submission
  • Clinician must badge in and out
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, an end date at least 6 months before submission is required
