Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Long Beach, California
13-week assignment
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
Call required
Float required
Weekend coverage: every other weekend
Unit accepts first-time travelers
Backfill assignment

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Non-invasive airway management
Experience with Epic

Patient age groups: adolescents, adults, geriatrics
Patient diagnoses and unit focus include neurology, stroke, cardiac, wound care, respiratory, ortho, oncology, and surgical care
Required skills include MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, rapid response/code team use, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
